Growing up, I wanted to be: an architect, then a genetic engineer ()

I went to school for: biology, then switched to psychology/philosophy with a concentration in HR. then law school.

Now I am a: lawyer


I was THISCLOSE to going to dartmouth to major in genetics (one of the only schools that had that as a major back when I was applying to college!)
i can only imagine how different my life would be!!

Interesting that a few wanted to be an archaeologist, I did too!

Went to school for: physical therapy

Now I am: physical therapist/manager

I wanted to be: a teacher

Went to school for: Meteorology.
Looked for a job for like 18 months and couldn't find anything!

What I'm doing now: I'm the Marketing Director for and architectural firm in NYC. I help the firm get work and work on proposals/presentations, stuff like that.

I also have my Graphic Design certificate, so I design invites, announcements, wedding things. . . .and hope to get more involved in this in the future.

Growing up, I wanted to be: in the Healthcare field

I went to school for: Business Admin

Now I am a: HR Professional

So far off and so many regrets!

Growing up I wanted to be a veterinarian.

Started going to school to be a veterinarian then changed to psychology.

I now work in accounting.

Now I am a: SAHM and want to go to nursing school when DD is older

Growing up: I wanted to be a Mom/Doctor/Nurse

I went to school for Teaching

Couldn't find a permanent position after graduation, and finally got into Pharmaceutical Sales.

I considered going back to school for Nursing, but found out that I would have to re-take all of my core classes because I graduated soooo many years ago.

I am taking the class and test to be a Real Estate Agent- very excited about that... but I will probably always think about Nursing :(

Growing up, I wanted to be: a writer

I went to school for: writing

Now I am an: office bitchh. I was an editor for 2.5 years after I graduated college and I loved it, but I was dirt poor and took an easier job with a much bigger paycheck. I hate it, but a girl's gotta eat.

I was pre-law all throughout college and senior yr realized it wasn't for me.

After a lot of thought I became a teacher and have no regrets with that choice.

I was to be a music video director. My undergrad degree is in TV, Radio and Film production from the top rated Newhouse school at SU. I was to be married by 25, have 3 kids by 30 and retire by 40.

Instead, I went to grad school, became a teacher, married at 35, had DD at 38, DS at 40 and have no hopes of retirement any time soon.

growing up, i wanted to be: a teacher and a mommy

i went to school for: secondary math education, to be a high school math teacher

now, i am: a glorified customer service rep for a retirement management company

but i've gone back to school to be a paralegal

I wanted to be a Pastry Chef.

I went to school for Restaurant Management. Worked in a restaurant for 10 years, hated the hours and the industry in general (well I like it, but it didn't work with my other life dreams), went back to school to study German Lit and Language then did my MA in TESOL.

Now I'm an ESL teacher and also teaching at a German University in the American and English studies faculty.

Now I am a: Producer in an ad agency


I never had a 'life plan' though. Never thought about being married by a certain age or having kids by a certain time. I've had too many friends who did try to map their life out like that, and get really upset when things didn't happen according to plan.

Growing up, I wanted to be: garbage man (age 5). In high school I wanted to be a science teacher.

I went to school for: Biochemistry (bachelors), Pharmaceutical Science (masters)

Now I am a: research & development chemist in cosmetics and personal care

a bus driver, decorator or a real estate agent (my Dad was one)



I went to school for:- I graduated with a degree is fashion merchansing and product development

I could have saved alot of time and money on college

Though I went to school for political science and work in a law firm, I HATE it! I'm dead set on going back to school for something else!

Now I am a: speech language pathologist

I never used my first degree in illustration for anything. I became a flight attendant for 14 years but knew that it wasn't my life career. I went back to school for speech when I was 29.
