She gave two different and meaningless explanations. I think she just wants to be weird and different (which is fine, more power to her) but she's getting pressure fro the media to give a significant, philosophical explanation and this is the sh!t she comes up with.

i was at two shows that had meat on stage (goat heads, pigs, blood etc) and honestly after a hour in the heat flies were everywhere and the stank was pretty eh. I remember showering after that show and still smelling it.

well in defense of Gaga, I think she's great! Yeah the outfit is insane but that's what she does. It's entertaining to see the wacky outfits she wears to these things and she always has to top what she did last time. Of course it's for attention because you need publicity to stay relevant in the entertainment industry. I really think she's harmless.
And I'm almost positive that it's not real meat (or at least I really hope it's not, that would be pretty gross!)

yep!! Attention who re is pretty much my summary of her as well.
