Ugh, that reminds me of when I was on a cruise to Canada when hurricane Floyd hit. We got hit by this huge wave, the ship listed so far and we all thought we were going to go over and die. People fell and broke bones, etc, it was so scary!

I was on a ferry going from Italy to an island off the coast (it was about a 2 hour ride). We hit rough seas..what a disaster! The crew was running around handing barf bags to everyone . It was an experience to say the least

How could a cruise liner not secure equipment? I'm pretty sure I learned the "batten down the hatches" & secure everything in Sailing 101.

And this is why I really don't want to go on a cruise.
I love the water and I'm an excellent swimmer but for some reason I have a fear of cruises and being in the open ocean.
I don't think watching The Perfect Storm helped

I cannot believe that! It looked like a small fork lift. How is the world can that stuff not be secured?

And these 2 clips, ladies and gentlemen, is why cruises do NOT appeal to me. I went on ONE cruise in my life. Though the sea was not as rough as depicted in the clips, it was pretty shaky and I was sick as a dog the second night. Not fun.

Oh gosh! Scary! I will never go on a cruise, if I did I would never go on deck.
Id rather fly.
As long as we are exposed to the elements ...oh well.
How about being on a plane struck by lightning? It felt like it was never gona stop falling! Took me a while to get back to flying.
