14 month old climbing couches

My 14 month old is climbing our couches constantly. Our whole house is childproofed. We have hardwood floors throughout the house. I do not know how to discourage her from climbing couches. She can get down MOST of the time, but she obviously not 100% steady. Help!

DD was an early climber. I used to just leave a bunch of pillows on the floor just in case. She fell a couple of times, but learned really quickly how to get up and down pretty carefully.

DD was vertically mobile long before she could move horizontally. I would either put pillows on the floor or just keep her with me all the time.

DD is 14.5 months - she has been doing it for about 2 months - I was lucky with DD#1 we had hardwood but she was too short to be able to actually make it on the couch without climbing onto something else first so I just stayed near her. But DD#2 is much taller and can climb up easily. I just make sure that if she climbs up I stay right near her when she is up there. She is more cautious than her sister was so I don't worry as much - but once or twice she has tried to nose dive and I had to grab her.

Can you put down a form play mat where she climbs when you are in that room - or a couple of pillows so she will land on those if she does take a dive off the couch anyway but feet first.

I think I may try a foam mat that is wood colored. Or just buy an area rug and put a foam mat under the rug. I fear if I put pillows, the would fall in the area in between.
