Where do you have your carseat in your car?

Where do you have your carseat in your car?
I put dd's behind the driver seat. Should it be in the center?
Also-I tried using the latches but the seat doesn't seem too secure-any tips?

I cant help you with the latch issue because I needed my sister to install the car seat for me but I have it behind the passenger seat

It depends on your car. You should read it's manual and it will tell you where the ideal place is in your car for the car seat.
When DD was first born we were in our old car, and that car we had her seat in the center. When we eventually got our new car, we found out that you can't put car seats in the middle, so she is set up on the passenger side.

Every car is different. The manual will tell you where is the best place.
