I'm serious about this! We take breastfeeding, childcare classes...there should be:
Registering 101 class! I'm telling you; this stuff makes me feel like I'm "slow." I'm very visual and there is just so much stuff, safety issues, which strollers have what and why, which carseats are used when, etc. It all eventually is making sense, but it's overload! And I'm not a dumb girl! Reading Baby Bargains has helped immensely, but in general this stuff is confusing. My sister in law is really helping me and I was telling her how confused I feel and how silly THAT makes me feel. She reassured me not to, that it's a whole new world of products I never had a reason to know about. But still. Wouldn't it be great if there was some class?! LOL

until now i didn't know you CAN put a newborn in the stroller without the carseat. I thought you had to wait until they were a bit older. SIL was like, "No--that's why I gave you the headrest, remember? Because you like the Citi Mini and it's not that cushy." I was like.....yeah, sure. I knew that. LOL

I believe the snap and go is universal, but I wouldn't totally trust my answer! Knowing that though about the stroller made it easier. Therefore, the Citi Mini downside is the baby can only FACE you when placed in carseat. It doesn't spin around or flip around like some of the other strollers. Everything seems to have plus and minus. I am doing graco snugride 35 as the infant seat. Getting a snap and go (or whatever one goes with my seat) and the Britax Boulevard for the convert seat. And oh yes, I also hadn't known that the Covert seat stays in the car. No base or anything.

I find the Baby Bargains book great for answering my questions... even ones I didn't have.
I'm pretty much going to make a list of what I want from that book before I go to register. It'll take the majority of the guesswork out of it for me.

I went with my mom and cousin to register. Between the two of them, they have seven kids. My cousin has three under 5. Then I asked another LIFer to "proofread" my registry. It was great; they were like walking cheat sheets on what I needed!
