i'm trying not to get upset but i can't handle it anymore...

i'm sitting here in tears, the past 2 days have been such a emotional roller coaster.

i met with dr kofinas's office today and now i have a bad placenta and have to take those lovenex injections every day and get tested for thrombophilia.

i just want this to be easy and it's not. i'm trying to be strong and not let it all get to me but i'm losing my mind. im so stressed out. thankfully my LO is doing really well heart rate was 176 today and growing nicely.

sorry for complaining but i'm just so overwhelmed right now.

I would be overwhelmed as well. Try to focus on the fact that your problem has a solution, even if its not something you are looking forward too! Great news that LO is doing well!!!

Don't apologize for complaining, that is what we are here for! You need a sounding board to get it all off your shoulders!!!

I went to Dr. Kofinas on friday and I left feeling the same way. He told me I had damage to both placentas and i had to start baby asprin. But he said they would be fine! I honestly think he is just a really scary person...he knows alot and can fix alot...he is one of the best in the country. So I think he takes every little "problem" very seriously.

I am sorry you are going through this and hoping you are feeling better about things tom!

thanks....the fact that my LO is doing good is the only thing that's keeping me somewhat sane. lol it just seems to be one thing after another and it's so stressful! ahhhhhhhhhh

oh that's not complaining at all - just venting/sharing - those are some scary things to go through but it really sounds like your doc has it under control and that your LO is doing GREAT!! so I hope that is the last big hurdle of this pregnancy for you and that all goes well!!

I'm sorry! It does all sound overwhelming...but I am glad your baby has a strong HB and doing well!



Worse case scenario you take lovenox and then know you are helping your LO. I take it daily through out my pregnancy....it isn't that bad at all.

I agree with the pp that Dr. Kofinas just knows so much, but that he can also take care of anything that comes up. I am sure it is super scary, but you are in really good hands.

Ok, so you know what I have been going through and after talking to so many people I learned something very important.

Most women will have atleast 1 scare or problem in their pregnancy. Thats normal. Once you get over one hurdle another one may come your way one day.

Please do not let this take your joy away like I did. More times than not everything turns out fine. You have great dr's who woll momitor you and do whatever needs to be done to ensure a healthy baby at the end of 9 months.

Everything is going to be ok, you might need to be on meds, you might need more sonos, you might need more testing, but thats all ok

And I can tell you from first hand experience, having this forum to come to and get support, advice, encouragement really helps

my darling i didnt know that was YOU!

i took lovenox EVERYDAY from 9 weeks to 36 (when i switched to heparin 2x a day) and then after delivery for 2 weeks you will make it through, its not sooo bad

if you have thrombophelia questions, im here! i just went through it.

smile, this is going to be the BEST time in your life. think about that heartbeat everytime you get down (or call me )

and PS ... i have TONS of lovenox that you can have like BOXES! will save you tons (if they prescribed you 40?)
