sort of spinoff to onsies in summer.. what about SOCKS?
I took DS to a house with no A/C for 4th of July. He was wearing a romper without socks. First thing out of an older lady's mouth was "Why isn't he wearing socks?" "My kids never went out without socks" 
Is it tacky to take your babies out without socks on?
Just want to add that I always carry socks with me just in case but I haven't put any on him all summer because he gets hot quickly & I like bare baby toes.

Lucas hasnt worn socks all summer. Some old lady in my building made a comment about him not wearing socks or shoes and I just walked by her

When we are outside - no. When she goes to Daycare or we are home in the AC - yes.

Mason hasn't worn socks at all since Spring. For daycare I put them on him and they usually take them off so he can walk around
There's an extra pair I keep in the diaper bag just in case, but haven't taken them out yet

babies feet are the cutest thing ever-I don't cover dd's feet unless she is cold. No shoes either (she's 7 mos) unless I have to. I want to show off those cute feet as much as possible

DS never wears socks in the summer. Even the first warm day of spring it's bare feet. I think I hate socks more than he does. Gotta love old people and their opinions

That lady needs to mind her business, I hate unsolicated advice.
Its perfectly fine to have you kid without socks in the summer time. We wear flipflops don't we??
Last year DD was under a year, just starting to crawl it was going into the winter and I brought her to church, I take her out of her bundled stroller and an elderly lady asks me why she doesn't have shoes on (she had thick socks on) I said bc she doesn't walk yet? She told me that her feet are going to be cold. I just rolled my eyes and told her not to worry about my DD's feet.
Point is, your going to have people comment no matter what you do, people think for some reason they have a say in what you do with your kid.

I also haven't put on socks on my 2.5 yr old and 1.5 yr old since april....sandals, flip flops outside and barefeet at home

my DD is 3.5 months old and she hasn't worn socks for about 2 months now! when her feet get chilly i turn down our AC. i always have a pair in my diaper bag just in case we're out and her adorable little toes are cold!

No socks for Ann since the late spring/summer.
She also never wore a pair of shoes until the past month. And she's only wearing them now (a few days a week) because when she moves up to the next room at day care, she is required to wear them so I'm trying to get her used to them. I honestly hate putting them on her especially in the summer!

if we are outside no...i've brought him out in his stroller with no socks on.
but at nite in the a/c he has socks on and long pants b/c it gets cold.
and i send him to daycare with socks on.

I dress ds according to how he feels, nose cold, another layer of everything; hands cold, a sweater; feet cold, socks
Otherwise I dress him in as many layers as myself, and carry spare socks, hats, you name it, in case I run into any old ladies, I rather avoid the nagging, and its not a huge discomfort to ds

I put socks on him if I decide to put shoes on him. Other than that he goes sock-less unless we're in AC and his feet get cold..then i put socks on.

i never put socks on dd but we were going out and my mom was like does she have socks to wear-and ifelt like such a bad mom because i wouldnt want to go anywhere barefoot but than we were like well shes just a baby so it ok.

i hear the same thing all the time too from 'older folk'. i always tell them, if you're willing to care for her prickly heat rash that will come of her wearing socks, they can feel free to put socks on her.
we made that mistake once....it was hot, she wore socks and got a heat rash right around the sock line.... em has VERY sensitive skin...so we do what we have to do.
