Bachelorette party..cooking class?
Does anyone know of a catering thing where they host a group of people for a cooking class. We were looking at something like this with one company and they teach you how to make an italian meal, booze included, at a lounge like space. Which my SIL really wanted to do. The date she wants is booked and this particular company is moving and may not have another date available for a while.
SOo..does anyone know of places that do something similar??
i was also thinking of a booze cruise that goes around manhattan..has anyone done that???
TIA!!
Its been a while since i've had to plan these sort of events.

So?? Fill us in. Maybe you want to post on the 2010 board over on LIW. I think there were some raffles for the DJ Chef at TWOTY. I didn't win, but SOMEONE had to have won. Good luck.

Im not a member of LIW -(
I did speak to DJ CHEF. Its a pretty decent price for the set up and class. the only issue we have for our group is someone to host it. I live in PA so using my house is not an option for everyone. My MIL has a house, but i would bet that she would not be down for opening her house up to 16 girls and a DJ..LOL. The bride's apt is too small.
So i dont think its going to pan out. But it really looks cool and something that would be fun.
We are looking into buying the bride / groom a private lesson as the shower gift at a culinary school.

Re: Bachelorette party..cooking class?
I remember buying a gift card for a fellow teacher at a Viking School in the city. There were one time classes, tons of them. As well as a more committed kind of program.
Good luck, Kimberly

Re: Bachelorette party..cooking class?
I had DJ Chef for my Bachelorette Party and it was SO FUN. You do need someone to volunteer their house and it has to have decent room inside or a good backyard.

Re: Bachelorette party..cooking class?
I know you are looking for an Italian cooking class but there is a place in New Rochelle that does this with Peurto Rican Food. I love this place. You can also just go there to eat but it is set up for classes. They have the BEST sangria! And not far from there you can hop on a booze cruize out of City Island. We do these once a year. They have a DJ, food and booze. wE usually use the Riptide III but there are a bunch of boats that leave from there and they go down to the statue of Liberty.
