I like Hamptons Exquisite Nails in Hampton Bays. Not too far. It is in the small shopping center west (not the big one east) of Boardy Barn.

Unfortunately there aren't many good ones in Riverhead. Close by I find that Angel Tips in Wading River is good as well as the Angel Tips in Hampton Bays.
If you get UV gel nails though stay away from the Wading River one and go to Hampton Bays

Re: Nail salon in Riverhead area
HI, I don't have any personal experience with nail salons yet but we also liive in Riverhead. Someone did tell me that the nail salon in the BestYet/TJMaxx shopping center is a good one. I want to try it myself but haven't gotten around to it. What hair salon do you go to?

I posted this for someone else. They had just tried the salon in the Best Yet shopping Center and wasn't happy there.

Well thanks then. This is good to know. I guess I'll try the one recommended in Wading River.

My mom goes to Lee's Nails in Riverhead and has been happy there. It's just west of the Walmart shopping center, next to Firestone.

Re: Nail salon in Riverhead area
I've been to angel tips in Wading River- HIGHLY recommend. I love their pedicures (never had mani there)
I've ben to Lee's Nails "in front" of WalMart- not a great experience. Had pedi & finger nail color change. I wasn't thrilled w/ pedi b/c the girl hurt me and I told her 3 times "ouch, that hurts" and she just smilled & kept workin in that same spot! Not sure if it was a language barrier, she was new/young or a combo there of.
For the person who asked about hair- I goto Sound Hair on N Country Rd in Wading River- Stephanie (cut & color) tell her Jill (Troy's mom) sent you.

One of the best places in Riverhead is the one next to Blockbuster and Cingular/AT&T right on Route 58. It is close to the circle. They are expensive, but do a good job.

Not the one across from CVS. That place gives me the itches. Too many people and just dirty. IMO

I've been to Guys N Dolls too- haircut twice (did a good job) and regular color one time (good as well). I liked them, but I dont know anyone who had highlights there and that's what I was looking for.

I'm sorry. I don't know anyone who had highlights done there either. Did you ever try Robert James on Main St. I've heard they do a great job with all kind of coloring but it's more expensive. I like that they use Goldwell products. I'm letting my color grow out and watching the grey. If it's something I can live with I can use the money for other things. Good luck,
