Montauk
So we are going on an adults only vaca getaway to Montauk and weather looks shakey right now. Anybody have any suggestions as to things to do there if it rains?
Are there wineries close to Montauk not North Fork ones? I am geographically ignorant... TIA

Re: Montauk
Yes - we passed Duck Walk on the way to Montauk, I think also Wollfer Estates.
Not much to do in Montauk if it rains. It's a small town. They do have a movie theatre called "The Movie" - it plays one movie only.

Re: Montauk
There are tons of great restaurants and bars in Montauk. Also, you can buy a daily pass at Gurneys to use their indoor pool. If it's just a light drizzle you can head to East Hampton for shopping.

Duck Walk has a north and south shore winery....
Wolffer is south shore.
You pass them on Montauk Hwy to get to Montauk.

Exactly- there are south shore wineries on the way out to montauk.
Montauk is not close to the north fork wineries. You would have to drive all the way back to riverhead and go around or take the ferry to shelter island and then to greenport.
As PP said, montauk is close to south fork wineries. Have fun- hope the weather holds out for you!
