Had to call CPS on a parent who abandoned a student
He's 15 years old and lives with his aunt who loves and cares for him but still.... how could you do this to your child? Mom is on drugs, whereabouts unknown and the Aunt needs help from social services to get her legal custody so we called it in together. We both ended the call in tears. I am still tearing up about it now.

What a piece of s***. I'm so glad the sister is taking responsibilty for her newphew. I can't imagine how this young boy is feeling.

I'm so sorry. You did the right thing, though.
I have a deadbeat cousin who lost custody of her three daughters recently. They were with the dad but last week he and his gf were arrested for selling drugs out of their home so the girls were sent back to the mom....
I wish parents understood the responsibilities they have when children come along...
