Stages 1 and 2 Jar food question BTDT mamas

So, here is a question...
Sage 1 is for 4 month and up, and stage 2 is for 6 months and up...got that...

But, can you give a Stage 2 that has food mixed that DC has had already? I know it is a little chunkier, not as pureed, but that aside, like an apple bananna, oatmeal, combo, etc.
Did any of you give DC those prior to 6 month..

I am not trying to rushing things, I just stocked up when BRU, had a earth's best sale, and they look so much better than the stage 1's...lol....so my panrty is filled

yes, we did the mix stuff before 6 mos, but DS started baby food (stage 1) just shy of 12 weeks, then was on stage 2 by 4 mos.

um, I never bought stage 1 Chat Icon we started with stage 2 (to me it was the same but a larger jar and cheaper) - we introduced the single foods first before the combos, but both dd's never had a problem!Chat Icon

The texture isn't much different then stage 1. DS has no problems with it. He has a very sensitive gag reflex...Some of them have a creamy texture. He loves all of the mixed fruits from Earths Best..

Actually, it's a misconception that Stage 2 is chunkier (something I have learned). It's actually just bigger and that they combine foods. So go ahead and buy the Stage 2 single fruits and combos where he has had them.

FYI, DS started Stage 2 foods at 5 months as per our ped. He loves them.

Yes I found the Gerber mixed vegetable is too watery. My DS prefers a little chunk to it.

Some of the stage 2 blends are thinner that the stage ones, so I think its fine to start giving them now.
