Jar Food Question
I keep getting different answers on this one-
How long can jar food stay out after it is opened?

I think it says on the jar refrigerated 2-3 days after opening

like out of the refrigerator????? Good question. In the fridge, I am keeping for 3 days-- the day I open it, plus the next 2.

I wouldn't leave it out for any length of time I have had food poisoning in the past when I was studying in Italy and I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy so I am a bit stricter with how I store/deal with food - at home I take what she will eat and put it in a bowl then put the remainder in the fridge - I wouldn't leave it out for more than say 20-30 mins - if I was out of the house - maybe bring some ice to put it on? A lot of it depends on what the food is as well.

I am going to just guess and say about 1-2 hours, 3 hours tops. If I go somewhere I will either take a new jar or use a cooler bag.

i agree 1-2 hrs tops, And i do the same take a cooler bag to put the jars into :)
