Bridal shower invitation question

I'm going to be throwing a small bridal shower for a friend at my house, about 10-12 people. Do I need to send out printed-up invitations, or can I get away with an Evite?

thanks

I think an evite would be okay.

I think sending an invitation is always appropriate. You don't need to be fancy - Hallmark has pre-printed ones in packages you could use.

Re: Bridal shower invitation question

For a bridal shower, I would send a regular invitation.

Re: Bridal shower invitation question

if its all younger people around the bride's age- close friends or whatever, I think you are fine with an evite- if there is anyone a little older, I would do the invitation

I don't see a problem with an evite.

Re: Bridal shower invitation question

I would call before sending out the evite since it's such a small group (letting them know to keep an eye out). You never know what ends up in spam these days!

Re: Bridal shower invitation question

Buying a small pack of invitations from Target or Hallmark would be better IMO.

Sometimes I feel like people just ignore evites or forget about it so easily, I just like the idea of making sure a real invite is sent.

The only "older" person there will be her mom. Most of the rest of the people are part of our little clique .... we always send out evites for everything, which is why I thought it might be ok. But I think I'm going to see if I can get some inexpensive invites printed up, its just nicer and more formal that way.

Re: Bridal shower invitation question

Print them - or get the store bought ones. I always get nice paper at Kinkos or Office Max and do my own invitations. It is very easy

I would buy or make paper invites so the bride can keep one as a memento & because people tend to take paper invites more seriously.

It might be different with your friends, but I notice people changing their mind a lot with an evite, or just not showing up, or bringing random people.

My MOH bought a kit & made the invites or my shower -they were vellum printed ona hoem computer, tied witha ribbon to handmade looking paper with flower bits in it.

If you only have 10-12 to do, making them should be easy.

I would probably do a quick one & get it printed at an hour photo (Costco).

I'm fine with an evite but it would be a first for a shower in my circle of friends. For us, evites are usually BBQs, nights out, etc.

Re: Bridal shower invitation question

check out vistaprint.com
than search for coupon codes-you maybe able to get them for free and just pay shipping.
maybe a b-party would be better with an evite
plus she can save it for memories

Re: Bridal shower invitation question

I would do a pre-printed one just so the bride could have one as a keepsake!

Re: Bridal shower invitation question

I like getting invitations to things like showers in the mail. I put it up on the fridge, I see it everyday, I don't forget about it.

I agree with others, I like an evite for a more casual event, and I am more prone to see it in my email and then forget about it.
