So confused about what the baby should wear?

I have no idea what a newborn who is due the first week of June is supposed to wear at home??

We have central air so I'm just nervous about it being too hot or too cold for the baby.

What should I be buying? Light footed pjs? But what else? and how many?? I'm so confused

Light footed pj's are perfect for the first couple of weeks. After that you'll be able to 'feel out' what the baby should be wearing.

A good tip is, one more layer than you have on.

cotton long sleeved outfits, onesies
and pj's.

Esp in central air and babies should be dressed warmly.

I always heard that they should wear a little more than you would. So like the pp said.. one more layer should be fine. Or long sleeved cotton onesies & PJ's in the central air.

Re: So confused about what the baby should wear?

we had DD in July, and DS this April right when it got really hot... the best thing that I had for both of them were the gerber onesies- they came in a pack of 5 and ran really small (they were size 0-3month) They fit great right from the day we got home, stretched well as they got bigger and were lightweight- carters is better quality and thicker material, so not as lightweight. For my DD- when we had her in the a/c we had her in the onsie and wrapped up in the blanket and had socks on her... she was fine in that and it worked great for when we changed climates from hot to cold... same thing with DS- except we also used a lot of the feetie pajama (sleep & play i think they call it) type things from carters for when we went out during the day...
