We had a family wedding in March 2009 and we had to leave our 6 month old DD overnight with our really good friends. We were about an hour away. It was soooooooo hard to leave her and I too was nervous but we didn't have a choice and everything worked out fine. She had lots of fun and was well taken care of.

DH and I went to Vegas when DS was 5m old.
I went on vacation last week alone with some girlfriends. I never want to leave DS again! I missed him so much.

Leave him and enjoy the wedding!
DS had a sleepover with my ILs when he was about 5 weeks so DH and I could sleep 
ETA: I think I am a bad mother because I had no issues leaving him

Never.
I am not comfortable leaving my children overnight. They will never spend a night away from home (unless its on vacation with us) until they go away to college. Thats how I grew up, and one of the things I intend to do.

my DD is almost 23 months and I haven't left her yet. The first time I do will be do delivery DD2 in two weeks.
