Hey guys-

Trying to help out a friend..If you were going to switch daycares..what did you say to your current daycare and how much notice did you give them?

TIA

Re: Sensitive Day Care Question

I would just tell them I found another location and that's it

2 weeks notice is good, unless more is specified in the contract

Re: Sensitive Day Care Question

I gave them a few weeks notice. I told them that I found a location closer to home-which was true.

Re: Sensitive Day Care Question

We had to change daycares when we moved and we gave 2 weeks notice. That way they knew they would have an opening for another baby soon. I don't know why you are changing but you can just tell them you are giving two weeks notice with no reason. If they ask just tell them financial reasons or personal reasons. If its something they did that makes you uncomfortable you should tell them so they are aware for other kids sake.

Our requires 2 weeks notice....otherwise you pay for the month. I would have her check her centers policy. I honestly, wouldnt tell them I was switching, just that you had another child care opportunity that came up that youd like to take advantage of.

Re: Sensitive Day Care Question

Tell her to look at her contract to figure out how much notice she needs to give.
