What do you mean by affordable? And how far are you willing to go?

Check out Kings Park, Commack, Huntington and Smithtown, as well as Greenlawn and East Northport.

Re: Tell me about some nice, affordable towns in suffox county
we bought in nesconset. its the least expensive of the smithtown towns (st james, nissequogue, smithtown, kings park) we got more for our money there, cheaper taxes but still the benefit of smithtown schools. i love our new neighborhood, close to EVERYTHING but still quiet

Re: Tell me about some nice, affordable towns in suffox county
I'm in Nesconset, so of course, I'd suggest it! And the prices are pretty reasonable here now also.
I also love Kings Park and East Northport! Cute little towns with great schools and pretty houses and neighborhoods.

Re: Tell me about some nice, affordable towns in suffox county
We are in the Smithtown Pines - Town of Smithtown, but with Hauppauge schools (so our taxes are literally almost half of what we looked at in Smithtown with Smithtown schools and we have double the property!). We are litterally right where the northern state ends at 347, so heading west is really easy.
If you do a MLS search for Smithtown with Hauppauge schools, you will see what is available in the area.

Nesconset is really nice, a little further east of Smithtown, but close to EVERYTHING!
I am in South Setauket, which is in Three Village schools, and the most affordable of the Setaukets. Def in your price range and very nice neighborhoods. But we are a little east of Nesconset, so that may be too far for you.
