NONE of the dresses you all found online were in either JCP or Macys. I was quite perturbed.
Here is the one dress I found and liked. This is the link to it, which will show it in actual light with the actual colors. (It won't let me copy the pic to share)

Here is me in the dress. (Excuse my fuzzy black slippers.) I can hit a few more stores tomorrow to keep looking.
If you think it works: Do you think any of these shoes work? The turqoise shoes I just bought today, but not sure if they are dressy enough. If you think turqouise is the way to go, I can keep on searching for a nicer pair. DH says they look too much like flip flops.
Here are the shoes:
Black shiny heel, closed toe
Open toe white sandal
Turqoise sandal
I am so lost. Thank you all for helping me. I suck at fashion.

I love the dress. I think it looks great on you.
As for the shoes, I would stick with black. Maybe something a little more strappy. But really, whatever is comfortable for you.
I agree with your DH on the new turquoise shoes.

I like either the black or the turquoise shoes and I don't think those turquoise shoes are too casual. Would you be opposed to shortening the dress a little bit? I think that would make it perfect and you have good legs.

I like the dress. I just felt that it could be a bit shorter. Im not a fan of that length in general though....

I was going to say something similar...
I like the dress. I just felt that it could be a bit shorter. Im not a fan of that length in general though....
I thought about it. But since I have 50 incisions on my legs from the surgeries, I was happy with the coverage, so I don't have to wear stockings. My latest incisions are mainly around my knee and shins. Some haven't healed yet.

I wish there was an all black dress in the store with sleeves, believe me. Macys had one I liked, but it was 2 sizes too small or 2 sizes too big. They were missing any that I had a shot at wearing. And I wasn't about to pull my 2 year old to every Macys on LI to try on dresses.

Thanks! That is one of the stores I want to hit tomorrow. But after finding so many online for JCP and Macys and NONE of them being in store, I am a bit leery of finding stuff online. I am keeping my fingers crossed for a better shopping day tomorrow!

I hit one plaza that has a Fashion Bug, Dress Barn and a few other stores in it. Having to take DS out of the car one time completely rocks! If those stores don't have it, then I don't need it. 
And if you have ever seen me shop, you know how quick I am. I hate shopping!

OMG Can I just give a  to CC Mommy, I think you picked STELLAR choices up there. My  fave is #3, with the white sheer detail???? That dress has a forgiving shape to it, without appearing "boxy" or matronly at ALL! The white sheer down the front is an AWESOME detai - doesnt it just force your eyes up/down up/down on the model, which is exactly what we want to happen??????
Kelly if you're going tomorrow I vote you try that one on, I hope they have it for you, I think it's PERFECT, and your black shoes will work well with it!!!

I like the idea of turquoise shoes, but that lenght dress needs a heel, so I'd go with the black ones if they are comfortable enough.

She did a great job! I LOVE the look of that sheer white one. I will definately try it on, but it raises two concerns for me: What about a bra? And I doubt it will cover the 20 pounds of arm fat that resides around the shoulder area and into the flabby armpit. But it looks like the white in front may cover my belly. So much to cover.

I think the dress has WAY too much going on. Too much print. Not flattering imo. I understand that you are trying to shop while bringing along a DC (trust me, I know...not easy) and that you are trying to cover some areas, but I don't think this dress would flatter someone who weighs 100 lbs....
I do like the options that CC Mommy chose...I would try some things on that you normally wouldn't (just try some shorter lengths...you never know, it may not be as bad as you think).
Also, if you do decide to go with that dress, definitely choose the black shoes...again, the dress has so much going on by itself that you want to keep the shoes simple.
