off the BC

i've been lurking for awhile and have a few questions....hope to be coming around here more often soon!

i stopped BC march 1st, so it's been a month. last night i started prenatal vitamins and was told to be on them for a month prior to trying....is that accurate? should we want till the end of april to give my body another month to regulate, get used to no BC and the vitamins?

Welcome!

I don't see why you should wait a month on the pre-natals. IMO - it's not really going to make that much of a difference. I'd say BD whenever you want and maybe you will be one of the lucky ones who gets it on the first shot

Welcome and good luck!! I dont think theres any reason to wait for your body to get used to the prenatals. Ive never heard of that? My Dr gave me prenatals when I told her we were gonna ttc in 6 months but she said it was just to get a jump start on my vitamins cause i wasnt taking any and to be healthier but there was no reason to wait to ttc once i got them. huh? well lots of

thanks ladies....that's why i asked here....i didn't know if there was a real reason to wait or not. everyone has an opinion these days, lol! especially about the BC being out of my system for a few months. totally understand that it might take awhile to become preggers. not getting any younger, so my fingers are crossed it's an easy battle.

Start TTC whenever you want. The BC is out of your system the day after your last pill, so don't worry about that. Welcome and good luck!
