Heck no - I don't plan on it until I can't see out of them.
I did it once, what a pain in the hiney.

I think I am weird then, cause I kind of love doing it ! Are they newer windows? Cause those are easier than the ones you need to go in or outside to do or the ones you have to remove from the wall....the double hung ones are the best.

They are new and they are the double hung! When you're done with yours, you can come over and do mine!

Re: Anyone clean their...
If I have time. I love clean windows. I have casements and two picture windows - a real challenge to clean from the outside when you live on the second floor. That's where my handy dandy swiffer comes into play - it doubles as a window cleaner ! I use water, vinegar and a microfiber cloth to get my windows sparkly clean.

Re: Anyone clean their...
I figure that if they are dirty, they are blocking more UV rays, and keeping me healthier, and the house cooler...
(At least that's what I'm telling myself... I don't want to hear any facts that may alter my beliefs.... )

We have casements as well. But I can clean them from the inside if you open them all the way. But most of the time, we just use the hose from the outside and the window cleaner that you attach to the hose. Then I use cleaner from the inside. I hate windows.
I will have to use the water/vinegar and microfiber cloth way. Thanks for the idea.
ETA: how do you use your swiffer on the 2nd floor? I have a Hi-Ranch and there is no way I could reach the 2nd floor.

Re: Anyone clean their...
For the picture windows, I open the casements on either side then reach out sideways with the swiffer, sort of half hanging out the window. So I'm actually inside cleaning the outside of the windows. For the regular windows, I close one side, open the other side and reach sideways with the swiffer. It's easy because I can adjust the length of the swiffer handle.
I could do the hose thing, but the bwitch living below me would have a fit and I wouldn't want to accidentally clean her windows as well.
2 Quarts warm water, 1/4 cup vinegar and if the windows are grimy, a scant half teaspoon of dishwashing liquid. No need to rinse or dry the windows, but sometimes I just go over them with dry paper towels. Best part - no streaks !

Re: Anyone clean their...
I will clean an individual window on and off when I see it's dirty but I do them all in one shot in June when all the pollen is done falling.

Re: Anyone clean their...
I was tempted to last week, but I wasn't planning on doing it so early, so I had other things on my list. I don't know if it is going to be nice enough this weekend.

Yes I cleaned them about a month or so ago. Whenever the first, real nice, warm weekend we had since the New Year. I took advantage and washed all the windows.
Will probably do them again soon.
