What foods did you love as a child?
I was reading an article that got me thinking about foods I used to love as a kid. My favorite was Chef Boyardee Ravioli in the can...so gross now, but I couldnt get enough of it when I was a kid.

what i called cucumber sandwiches.... tuna salad on sliced cucumbers..... it was such a treat when my mom made them for me lol.

Mustard sandwiches...plain Home Pride white bread with Guldens Mustard, sometimes w/salami but only if on a hard roll.

Nutella on white bread
Mortadella on italian bread
Kinda strange, I know but I didn't have mac and cheese until I was an adult and I didn't have PB&J until I was 10 - at a friend's house!

haha this sounds like me! I didnt eat anything out of a box until i started going to friends' houses. . . I used to beg for TV dinners!! LOL
I never had "american bread" until HS - all of my sandwiches were on bakery bought italian bread. . . no PB only nutella, no bologna only mortadella. . . now I eat so gross compared to then LOL

runny eggs and toast all broken up in a bowl
mac and cheese with ketchup (still love it)
OMG... I used to drink those little half-n-half on the table at restaurants. Sooo gross!!!

Me too!!!!! But they were called Oodles of Noodles when I was little
Progresso Chickarina soup-my brother and I used to fight over who got more mini meatballs.....
ricotta on semolina
soft boiled eggs in an egg cup
chicken cutlets
actually I STILL love all this stuff! Especially pregnant I want it all NOW!

My dad would make this rice with stewed tomatoes and pinto beans in it. It was SOOO friggin' good.
I also loved Charles' Chips in the giant tin.
And pickles. I used to bike up to the deli at the 4 corners in Brightwaters and buy a giant sour dill pickle probably 1x per week.
My brother made Onion soup that I loved and he also used to buy Campbell's Pepper Pot Soup that I craved.
For sweets I loved Zots and Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream whenever I got the chance to hit up the ice cream man.

I was just thinking.. I also had a huge thing for pickled herring in cream sauce and sardine sandwiches. My dad was a Dane so we had these things around a lot. Now? I don't think I would touch either!!
