Melville Triangle

Anyone looking to sell or know anyone who is? DH and I ideally would like to get in there but there hasn't been much coming up for sale. We had put in an offer back in the fall on one house and unfortunately we didnt get it. We are first time homebuyers and are ready to go as soon as the right house comes up.

Thanks! We check MLS every day Chat Icon so we can jump on anything that comes up but I figured if we could get a heads up on a for sale by owner or something like that it might work to our advantage Chat Icon

I saw a "For Sale" sign today on a house, but it is on New York Avenue, about a block north of the South Huntington Jewish Center. I think it is a high ranch. Like I said though, the side of the house is right on New York Avenue, so I don't know if that is what you want. There is another house for sale across the street from the Triangle. I think it is Inwood Court (?), but that is a different school district, and not considered the Triangle. I live in South Huntington (south of Jericho Tpke) and there are some houses for sale here. Same school district as the Triangle.

I live in S. Huntington and a friend of mine lives on Munson Court in the tri-angle and I saw a few houses for sale over there (Right off Old Country)

I have a great Real Estate Agent that specializes in the area if you want her info.

That would be great. Thanks! We have good visibility to what is available on MLS but I was hoping if we could get an "inside scoop" we might be able to be a little ahead of the game.

Thanks! We do not want to be on New York Avenue Chat Icon . I believe most if not all of the triangle is South Huntington School District, which is ok for now. We check MLS every day but houses in that area go very quick if the price is right. We are mostly interested in the splits or the larger colonials, but again if the price is right..............

Thanks for the info though Chat Icon

You're welcome. Yes, the whole Triangle is the South Huntington School district (as is S. Huntington where I live). The house on Inwood is on the other side of New York Avenue and is Half Hollow Hills School District (where I went to school growing up).

Good Luck!

Hmmm. I will have to take a look at that one. We looked at a house on Arrowood a LONG time ago so I know that area. Is it a 4 Sale by owner or would I see it on MLS?

Thanks!

It is on MLSLI, but there are no interior photos (which is somewhat suspicious to me).

Re: Melville Triangle

1st I am a realtor. Just sold 1 on Sparks. Sold in 3 weeks. Yes this is a very hot area, if the home is priced right. I canvas this area regularly. most homeowners in this area like an agent to sell. We take care of everything. Nice split may come on the market in another month or 2. The homeowners are just not ready yet. Little kids and some painting to do.
Good Luck Chat Icon
