woodmere area/question about renting
so question 1-does anyone know anything about the woodmere area? from what i know it's a good area, but i'm going to look at an apartment tomorrow and wanted to know if anyone had any insight
question 2-if you rent/have rented in the past, have you negotiated the price of rent? how do i do this if it's through an agent? also, how much is a reasonable offer of negotiation?
tia!

Re: woodmere area/question about renting
I can only answer question 2
We found our apartment july 13th
It had been vacant for 2+ months in long beach and was the largest apartment with the best view in the building
We used this fact to ask them for a lower rent (we knew the wanted it gone asap b/c the landlord was paying the fee) and said we would move in on the 15th - and not wait till the 1st
We got $200 off a month- and $300 off the orginal asking price
The realtor handled this for us- we told the agent we loved the place- but we could only pay x amount- they countered- we accepted
