Showers and mildew
I'm looking for a foam type of spray that will stick to the bathroom tiles in the grout of the shower. I have tried straight bleach, but it doesn't stick to the tile/grout so it won't get rid of it. What out there works?
Note...it's not a mold problem, it's in the grout and I want it gone! I need like the Kaboom foam stuff but for mildew.

Re: Showers and mildew
I like to use the Clorox Pen. You can squirt it out and it really gets into the grout lines. It kind of sticks and then when you wash it off (I leave it overnight for tough stains) it is good as new.
Hope this helps!

Re: Showers and mildew
I reccomend scrubbing with soft scrub and a grout brush - worked for me...

Re: Showers and mildew
When we first moved into our house, we had this happen within a couple of months of living there. DH just ended up re-grouting and there's been no more issues.

Re: Showers and mildew
We have the WORST mildew problem in our shower...the way it's graded the water pools along this one grout line. No matter how much we kick it away to the drain it stays.
The only thing that works (I've tried foaming everything) is straight muriatic acid. I could only find a gallon jug, so we got it, poured some in a baby food jar... Dip a toothbrush in, scrub the grout. Voila. Gone. It's STRONG though so if you're expecting or have kids/pets make sure the bathroom is very, very well-ventilated.

Either Clorox Bleach Spray or Tilex should work for you. Then use a rough scrub brush that gets in the grout ridge and scrub.

Re: Showers and mildew
In my old apartment I would use the thicker type of bleach, almost gel-like, and an old toothbrush. Had to do this about once a month because the mildew was behind the tiles on the wonderboard. The clorox pen also works well, but I found the above method to be cheaper.
