my DH doesnt get it either..
but they are allowed to bump up 2 weeks of their vacation for when the baby comes.
Same, cause they do the same thing

Yes, he gets two weeks, but that actually turns out to be a month for him since he only works 14 days every month because of his rotating schedule.

My DH has to use vacation time or take unpaid fmla which we can def not afford for him to do

Yup, my DH does- I think it's like 2 weeks?? But he works a job where he' s working for 2 days, off for 2, working for 3 off for 3. So it ends up being longer than 2 weeks I think.
My hubby actually works with yours and even though its early, i keep telling him to find out if its 10 actual work days or 2 weeks off.
He also found out he gets an additional 2 weeks if I have to have a c-section (which i highly possible).
I didn't realize how lucky we are!

DH has no paternity time but they are letting him take 2 weeks of vacation time. When I had my first DS he had planned on one week but I went into labor on Tuesday and came home from the hospital on Friday. So by the time we were home he had to go back. I think he stayed home for the following Mon and Tues. This time he asked for two weeks and I'm hoping to deliver on the weekend.  Wishful thinking but we'll see.

He gets 2 weeks paid paternity leave and than is going to take a week off vacation- so 3 weeks off. Than he'll take another week of vacation at the end of my leave so we can have a final week as a family before I return to work. He gets great benefits and alot of vacation days.

No. He can take a week off unpaind under FMLA or he can take his vacation days.
