I know she meant well, but her timing couldn't have been worse ...
Last night after dinner I had the worst headache I can remember, and felt soooo nauseous. I went to bed at 9pm with a bucket next to the bed just in case.
And then AF arrived this morning with a vengeance, so we're on to cycle # 5.
I spoke to my mom this morning and told her how awful I felt last night (didn't mention AF and she has no idea we are TTC).
So she asks me if I might be pregnant.
This is me:
I try to compose myself.
She says "awww, oh well" (she can't wait to be a grandma)
And then I respond with "Thats not possible. I have visible proof that I'm NOT. I can prove it if you'd like."

aww..maybe you should tell her..the comments probably will stop and she will be more sensitive.
im sure she would be really upset if she knew she made a comment that bothered you.

Re: I know she meant well, but her timing couldn't have been worse ...
Thanks for all the and advice girls.
DH & I really want to keep this to ourselves for the moment.
I felt a ton of family pressure before we were engaged, and I just have a strong feeling it will be similar if we let the cat out of the bag.
Everyone meant well then too, and knew that I personally had no control over when DH would propose, and yet they'd still ask me when it was going to happen. It used to bring me to tears and panic attacks about seeing certain family members, knowing we'd spend the whole time talking about my not being engaged.
I feel like if I open the door to start discussing it, it will become a frequently talked about topic of conversation.
I'm just not comfortable with that right now.
Plus, I'm not sure if I've forgiven her for telling ALLLLL my aunts when I got my first AF as a kid

my mom did this too!! We lived in a different state than my Aunt and Grandma and every morning as we were eating breakfast before school everyone would be on speaker phone and they all knew when I got AF for the first time and when I started to wear a bra. I used to get sooo embarrased!
