Aggro....(long sorry)

Ok so I'm usually a pretty optimisitic person but I'm having a hard time today and I need to vent. We've been TTC for 9mo, this month we started Clomid and I've been going for the requisite bloodwork. I got my positive OPK relatively early and we initiated BDing according the the everyother day schedule. We've been doing that for about two weeks, so here's the annoying part, DH is acting like its some kind of chore and I'm starting to feel like a total heel. I don't understand since when is having lots of s*x a bad thing? Anyway last night was one of these times and I went for bloodwork this morning to check and make sure I actually ovulated, and as I was sitting there being stuck repeatedly all I could think was his heavy sigh at the thought of sleeping with me. I know I may be being dramatic but right now I'm feeling so thwarted. Thanks for listening/reading girls :)

Its ok I know how you feel. Even I started to feel like it was a chore and both DH and I admitted we felt completely exhausted from knowing that we HAD to do it. I think it just takes a toll on you mentally even though the actual act of doing it is fun. I noticed that DH was also starting to get like this too so I stopped telling him it was baby making time and just started seducing him on my own as if I was just in the mood or something. It really did help alot, there was alot less thinking involved. If that makes any sense.

ITA. That, and doing it regularly regardless of what time of month it was, has helped.

ITA! Making babies should be fun, but sometimes the stress and pressures of TTC can really take it's toll. I would definitely make it as natural as you can! Good Luck!

Re: Aggro....(long sorry)

thanks for the words of encouragement ladies but if I just try and seduce him I always get a no, regardless of time of month. To be honest this has always been an issue with us I guess I'm just feeling it more now because its linked to something so big and important to me. I'm just not sure where to go with it......

Re: Aggro....(long sorry)

I always say, there is nothing romantic about making a baby.

TTC can be tough, on us, our DHs, our marriage, our jobs, etc. etc. We have been TTC for over a year now, and we both have gone through periods of, "can we just get this over with". It is a difficult time, we just have to take it day by day and **try* not to get overwhelmed.

It is so hard not to take things personally, and it is equally hard to always be "nice nice" when you are feeling this much stress, which is what i try to remember when DH says something, less than, um, "considerate" of my feelings. We both have learned to let things go and give eachother passes for "bad days".

Have your or he considered blood tests? If low libido has always been an issue for him, it could be linked to a hormone deficiency. There are herbs and foods that help, too. I frequent another board, and lots of women and their partners are taking Maca. It's supposed to boost your energy and $ex drive. I haven't tried it yet, but I may order some for next cycle.

I know how you feel. It is so crushing to be "rejected" or to be made to feel stupid for wanting to be intimate. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
