Question about carpet padding
We bought an area rug and are looking into getting padding underneath, mainly to reduce slipping. A family member suggested felt padding, but said it may contain horse hair. He let me know because I have nasty allergies. Has anybody heard of this? Is it a problem?
TIA!

felt would not prevent slipping. as a matter of fact it would most likely make the rug slip even more.
i don't know about the horse hair thing. i always thought felt was made from wool .
You see my confusion.
