Just got back from the new Home Goods (pics)
Got there at 8am when they were opening and the line went around the ENTIRE shopping center, seriously hundreds of people 
So we went to breakfast and then went back. this time there was only like 50 people ahead of us on line.
As people left, they let more in. They had A LOT of stuff but no better prices than any other Home Goods. It was chaotic and crazy, very hard to shop or even find a wagon, you had to hunt someone down in the parking lot. There were camera crews and reporters, it was nuts.
Once you found what you wanted it was another hr wait on line that wrapped around the whole store.

great buys! really nice stuff. love the three monkeys.  i can't believe the lines were that long. crazy. but i love home goods.

My sister and I passed by and I said, "Oh, there must have been an accident or something." because I always shop in that shopping center and it's never backed up, so we swung around the front entrance because she swore it was from Home Goods opening, and she was right! I could not believe it! At 3pm, there was still a line to get in and the news12 helicopter circling the place! But honestly, I remember the SAME thing happening in Riverhead when that one opened and it calmed down in a few days.

Probably because there is no store on the south shore and they had very nice things there.

I love homegoods but I go to the one in Riverhead - its never a mob scene and they always have amazing things...
