Where does a male go for an SA

My DH agreed to go for an SA. He said he would rather first check his sperm counts before cutting back his time in the hot tub or his drink or two a night.
But i am clueless...where does he go to get an SA? Would he go see his general doctor or is there a special doctor he would see?

If anyones DH has gone to get an SA, if you can recommend someone my DH should see. Our insurance is GHI (but if its not covered, we will pay) and we currently live in Dix Hills, but just bought a house in Levittown...so really anywhere in nassau and western suffolk would be good.

my RE gave me the script and the cup. DH produced the sample at home and brought it to North Shore LIJ labs.

i think you need a prescription for it - if you arent seeing an RE your ob/gyn may be able to give you one for him.

my OBGYN wrote the script for it, but this was at the same time that she was referring me to an RE.
I would call yours and ask where he could have it done.

I have GHI and it was covered.

My OB/Gyn prescribed one for my DH and he dropped the sample off at Quest in Syosset. We had the results the next day.
