ok so today I think i saw "the one" (house)..questions

how many times did you go back to look at it?

i am going again tomorrow.

my dad is coming too...he is a retired contractor, so he will be looking at the boiler, etc..even though it was only built in the early 2000's. (my mom is my RE so she already saw it today with me)

what did you look for? did you take pictures?

it's the first house i saw where i got "the feeling."

i am hesitant to bid...what if there are other houses? did anyone else feel that sense of "maybe I should wait?"
but then i think...if you know, you know. Right?

When we found the house we wanted, we just KNEW! It was the ONLY house we felt like we didnt need approval for. We brought our parents to every house prior to this one. We put a bid that day! And then of course brought our parents back.

** I don't mean actual "approval" ... I mean that I didn't need anyone telling me "oh you should go for it - we just knew to go for it" I cant explain!

So weird that you are posting this!! I think we found the one today also!!!

When we saw our house, I had to convince DH.. and once I did that it was the perfect house for us, we put a bid in right away. I didn't want to risk losing it. We didn't need to go back and look again.

Go with your gut, even if it is the first of second house you see doesn't mean that its not "the one".

if you love it, go for it! we saw a house that i was really excited about, but it just wasnt 'the one'. when we saw our house, we just knew, we fell in love with it. we brought our parents back the next day and bid on it the following morning. GOOD LUCK!

i fell in LOVE immediately. it was the only house in our price range that seemed too good to be true. DH was busy that day but my mom was w me and we gave each other a look after walking through the house like, "wow!" i brought DH back the next day, he fell in love too...we put in our offer that day.

but we had been looking for a WHILE. i got the impression from your post that maybe you haven't been looking for too long, if you are so worried about others being out there? i guess we DID get that feeling a little bit, but we'd seen enough in our range to know that this was a house we loved and a great deal.

i wouldn't let the worry of what if there are others out there get in your way. if you get a feeling and can see yourself living there, why not put in an offer? if it's meant to be you'll get it, and if not then there is something better for you out there. but trust your gut!!
