Help....I have a question regarding the length of the LP

Good morning ladies.

I am hoping that you ladies may be able to help me out a bit. This is the first month that I started temping and using OPKs. I have a VERY regular cycle of 24-25 days and I was just assuming that I ovulated around day 10-12. That is waht FF oringinally predicted for me (without temping or OPKs). Well anyways when temping and using OPKs i realized that I O on either cycle day 13 or 14, leaving the length of my LP either 10 or 11 days. Is this something that I should be concerned about. From previously reading on these posts, I know that the LP should not be under 10 days (or it is impossible to conceive), since mine is soooo close to 10 days (maybe even 10 days) should I consult with a doctor on this, or is it still possible to get PG?

It sounds like you are fine but if you are concerned, definitely contact your doctor

I think you are fine also, there are ways to make your LP a little longer, you can ask your dr about it if you're concerned

Since coming off the pill, my LPs have bounced between 9 and 10, and last cycle I got to 11. My Dr. likes to see at least 12 days, however, there are plenty of women on these boards who get pregnant with a 10-11 day LP.
Most of what I read online says that's it's under 10 that's the real problem. And if your LP is under 12 and your not getting pregnant (I don't know how long you've been trying), you might want to mention it to your Dr.

Do you take B6 or a B-complex? Many women find that helps.

Thank you....no I do not take B6 or a Bcomplex. But I just read some information on them, and I am going to run to the store today and buy the vitamin. I have only been trying to 2 cycles...and last cycle we did not use OPK's or temp, so I guess that this is my first cycle of REALLY trying. So obviously I am hoping for a BFP, but if not I will continue to temp and use OPKs and see if anything happens, and if not maybe contact my doctor in a couple of months.

At a minimum your LP should be 12 days. I had a 10 day LP and the RE was concerned because your chances of conceiving are lower and even if you do get pregnant there is a higher likelihood of miscarrying. They started me on Clomid to lengthen my LP and after the 1st cycle was LP went from 10 days to 12 days. I am hoping I won't know if this cycle is longer since I am praying for a BFP in 2 weeks!! I would call the doctor.

I have now been off the pill for about a year and a half, so I think that my body is fully regulated. I will have to continue to chart to make sure that my LP is 10-11 days every cycle....or maybe I just Oed late this cycle. I alway have had a shorter cycle...24-25 days, I hated it when I was younger, well for obvious reasons, I had AF more frequently, and now that I am TTC I was hoping that it wouldnt be a problem...but for some reason, I just have a feeling it might be.

Well thank you so much ladies for your help....you all are really amazing. Reading these posts have made the TTC process much easier!! I will continue to temp next month and just that I O earlier next month and maybe this was just a one month thing.

according to ff i only have a 12 day lp... does that technically mean the 2ww is shorter??? sorry if thats a dumb question!! is it bad if its that short???
