My ped. referred me to a neurologist for Derek
I posted a little over a month ago Derek did this weird shaking thing while DH was feeding him. Well he did it again last week for DH. I thought he might have just pee'd and gotten a chill and DH thought he was shaking but he did it again today while I was feeding him and now I know what DH was talking about.
All three times it happened as he was falling asleep drinking a bottle. It is like a little tremor. His head shakes up and down and his hand shakes. But it is so soft, I almost didnt notice it. As soon as I nudged him he stopped.
The ped. said some babies can get tremors or mylocnic movements because their nervous systems are still developing but he still wants me to check it out. He also said it is a good sign that he stops the shaking as soon as we nudge him or move him...if it's a seizure they normally dont stop.
Uggghhh...add this to my list of something else to worry about.
I have an appt. with Dr. Atluru March 11th. He also gave me the # for Dr. Grossman and Dr. Rosen but Dr. Rosen doesnt accept my insurance. I know a few girls on here have used Atluru and had a good experience.

It is good that he stops when you nudge him - if it was a seizure he wouldn't stop like that. I know you are worried. Keep calling in case they have a cancellation if you don't want to wait so long. I know its hard to relax but try. I freaked out when my DS was 6 days old bc he was doing this thing with his eyes. I cried for 2 days, my DH cried, i swore he had neurological damage. Took him to a ped opthamologist and turns out he was fine! I hope that everything is ok

My brother used Dr. Grossman for years for his ADD. My Mom said that man was a saint. She loved him and recommended him to everyone.

ow, this is interesting to read. Chloe does this as well, usually just her foot and leg skae though..but she has odd movements. At the hospital this past week, the nurses noticed her leg and asked if she has always had tremors and suggested a full neuro workup b/c she was preemie.
Let me know if you could what they tell you, and what they do....And if you like the Dr?
I will pray its nothing but normal growth for you. Try not to worry

Im sure everything will be just fine...
Ive used Dr Atluru for years...
She is a good doctor. Her bedside manner isnt good or bad. It's just "typical" would be how I would describe her...
