Anyone elses 8-9 month old getting fresh??
I know it sounds ridiculous but I swear my 8.5 month old DD is getting fresh. She grunts and yells at you when she isn't getting what she wants.
All I can do is point my finger at her and say "no" sternly. I tell her that's not nice, etc.
I thought I had some time before the freshness LOl!!

oh yes. she now grunts in anger when she doesnt want to eat anymore or when I sing a song she doesnt feel like hearing!!

Em has ONLY wanted me lately - and i'll have her and she'll scream - until i put her in the EXACT position she wants. I do that and then the scream stops and she smiles or makes that heeeeeh sound. Dave laughs hysterically at it...

DD is 11 months now but started "asserting herself" a few months ago. She is a lot feistier now if she doesn't get something to work easily or can't have what she wants, and sometimes when I ask her for a kiss she'll shake her head no!

Em and Kristina must be twins.....same here, she controls me completely and will dive at me...floppng all over...I worry about a concusion or other injury everyday!!!

Doesn't sound ridiculous. My 4.5 months old looks at me and yells and as soon as I start talking/playing with him he smiles like "haha got ya". I'm sure by 8 months hell be a fresh little man lol

Mine too! Diaper changing has become a WWE smackdown. It's crazy. He gives me "look" screeches and I swear he flips mid air and runs.
When he wants attention he will srunch up his face and mouth and scream.

Yes! He starts to grunt until he gets what he wants, and smiles as soon as he gets it.

Yup Riley will be 8 months tomorrow and Jeff and I were off these past two days with her and what a little attitude we would get from her followed with a cute smile!!! She knows what she is doing and testing the water. God we are in for it

Yes! He's grunting now when he wants something or doesn't want something.
Oh, and when I'm feeding him and he's done he will shake his head and tighten his lips like I'm about to torture him with another spoonful of fruits.
Oh, forget about it... when I pick up a wipe he's already shaking his head furiously b/c he knows it's going to wipe his face. He will also spit out food when he's done and throw the sippy cup on the floor.
