Removes excess oil after you wash your face. (I believe). Some toners take off dead cells.. Like Clinque Clarifying "lotion" - its simalar to a toner & Im not sure why they call it "lotion" but it removes dead cells and extra make-up and oil.
Do you have acne prone skin? Oily skin?

my skin isn't oily at all. i get acne few and far between so i wouldn't say it's acne prone.

so should i use it or will it dry my face out?

What kind of toner did you get? I have one which is alcohol free and it doesnt dry my skin out.

I have been using toner every day for as long as I can remember. My face just feels cleaner after using it.

I have been using Lancome Toner -Alcohol free for ever and I love it. It just evens out my skin tone, takes off the excess oil, dirt, etc... I do not have oily skin to begin, but everyone gets a shine here or there.

If your happy with your face, dont bother. I have acen prone skin but its clear because I use toner. Deep cleans to remove make-up & excess oil.

If is alcholo-free and your curious..try it. Just moisturize after
