Love telling you guys how much we hate FIL's wife

I like coming on here and telling you guys what a witch she is...it entertains me. and validates my feelings about her.

Soo, this weekend she Facebook Im'd my brother. After the usualy small talk, she says
"so you must be excited about the baby coming soon"
He says "oh yea, can't wait. I bet you guys are excited too"
She says: "Well, John (FIL) is excited for his first granchild, but I'm not the grandmother, I'm just a 3rd cousin (since she was Dh's mom's 1st cousin), so it's different for me"
My brother was stunned into silence.
He saved the convo, told my mom and my mom told me. She told me not to tell DH, but I did. Dh is livid. He really wants to confront his dad. He is telling him that if she is not excited that there is a new baby coming, she can stay home when the baby comes and not visit us. I can only pray this happens!!

How can someone be so selfish that they are not excited about a new baby?

You'd think she'd at least be excited for her husband! Sounds like she's a real self-centered one...

Just curious, is it odd that she IMed your brother? I'd think it was beyond bizarre if my MIL IMed my brother (and we have a good relationship)!

I'm evil, I would give the chat to my FIL along with a not so nice comment about his wife. But that would not be nice, I know.

This woman has some nerve. I would not be able to stand by quietly. I would have to say something.

The craziest part for me is that she has no shame.

WHO in their right mind would say "I'm just a 3rd cousin" when you're the grandfather's wife???

I feel for your DH, but I'm glad that you know how this woman feels. Keep your kid away from her, make sure your child doesn't consider her anything special and you'll all be better off in the end.

She is such a loser. Who does that? Why would she go out of her way to say something like that to your brother? You need to tell her that even though technically she isn't grandmother she defin looks old enough to be. Hit her where it hurts. She is such a witch. I think DH needs to talk to his dad, and the FIL need to tell her to shut her damn hole.

maybe she wants you to come out and tell her that she will be a grandmother. like take away the spotlight on you and put it on her.

wow each post about this woman just gets worse and worse. Even if she feels that way, why in the world would she admit that to someone (and your brother, no less???) Would your FIL even say anything to her if he found out what she said? It seems from your past posts that he allows her to get away with this disgusting behavior. I feel bad for your DH. I wouldn't allow this woman to come visit when the baby is born. Then again, knowing her she probably won't even bother coming! I'm sorry you and DH have to go through this. I would block her on FB and tell your brother to do the same.

wow. she is selfish..... she's a stepgrandmother. if she didnt want that title then she shouldnt have married her current husband. your husband should bring it up. His family is you and the baby #1 priority. people need to be put in their place.
