Spinoff to my Dress Q- would you ever wear satin to a daytime event
like your child's christening? it's mar 27 and I thought this dress was cool b/c of the jacket, not in red though. It comes in purple which is better on me I think b/c i'm a redhead

Sure! There are silk daytime dresses out there that are just as shiny as satin.
I think the dress you posted is totally daytime appropriate for your special occasion.

Daytime wedding yes, not so sure about a christening, but it would depend if it was at home or a catering hall. Also, is it like 12:00ish or 3:00ish?

For your childs Christening I say Yes, however with the Jacket I think it would be too much...maybe a cute black cardigan would work better.
