BF moms-- milk transition q, issue with temperature?
Sasha only has consistently gotten one bottle a day-- 2 to 3 oz of BM with her prune juice. Now, I am planning to continue nursing in the AM and PM, but I noticed when I try to give her something cold, she won't drink it.
What the hell am I gonna do when she needs to really be on milk during the day? I can't keep up with the warming the bottles. I don't do anything crazy-- just put it in hot water for a few mins.
I haven't really done the transition yet, but I just stopped pumping (YIPPEEE) and replaced that bottle with regular milk as a start. I want to get her on the sippy before she starts getting more regular milk and don't want to introduce another bottle during the day.

Re: BF moms-- milk transition q, issue with temperature?
I had a tough time transitioning DS to cow's milk. For a least a week, the most he'd drink was an oz of it. I eventually figured out that he'd drink more milk if I put it in a bottle and warmed it up. It probably took at least a month before he started drinking milk in a sippy cup and cold. He started drinking it in a sippy cup a little while before he accepted the milk cold.
If she'll drink the milk warm, just keep offering it to her and gradually decrease the amount of time you spend heating it up.

I never warmed DD's milk. She went from EBF (never had a bottle) to soy milk in a sippy right out of the fridge and she never had an issue with it. I also transitioned her at 11 months.
