As far as I know, they aren't allowed to ACCEPT tips, but they all do!!

Really? Because I know when we get deliveries, we have the option to add a tip to the order, or give the guy cash. I usually just add the tip to the order.
I believe there is even a spot on the form you sign when they deliver to include a tip.
Maybe they changed this?

That's awful.
They used to not be able to accept tips - but now they can. The website says tipping is completely at the customers discretion.
You will definitely get a gc from Peapod. I'm sorry you had to deal with that!
I don't get any paperwork at ALL from Peapod - so no place to write in a tip. Restaurants have that option (it has to be built into the merchant application if they are using CC's) - but retail set ups don't.. at least none that I've ever encountered!

How do you leave the tip on your cc? Is this the same way as the direct check method? This would help me out a ton b/c I'm always scrabbling for a few bucks to give the driver. 
I have never had any problems with the drivers - they have always been polite.
I have tried, and they never let me. They say it's because it takes them too long to get the $ and it's not worth it. Again, I think they aren't supposed to be getting tips, so they say that so you give them cash!
In the past I just added it to the total and they always accepted it. That's why I was so  when he didn't let me do it so I had to write him a $5.00 check.

What a jerk! When I was taking my ten minute cab ride to the airport for my bachelorette party, I believe we gave a ten dollar tip and the driver asked for more!

No, you can still do it that way, but I think one of the drivers told me that they don't get that tip? Or at least they don't get it right away like cash, so I don't tip that way.

You def. should have complained! I've never had a single driver do that to me. You use to be able to tip on your CC but you no longer can do that, so when the guy came I was like uhhhh I have no cash, he's like it's ok...I said no it's not, he said how about a coke in exchange, nicest guy ever. Your guy should be lucky he got 2 dollars & that you didn't take it back!

Wow! So rude! Do you normally have the same driver? Ive only ordered a handful of times and had the same guy every time, except for once. I would request that they do not send him to your house anymore!
