I have a closing date!!!
We just heard from the bank. We are closing March 15!!! 
the computer actually generates a date, so they asked if we wanted it sooner or later, or we just wanted to keep it.
I couldn't possibly think of changing it, because I feel like its meant to be. My grandma passed away last year on March 15  It by far has been the hardest thing for me, since she passed suddenly. I feel like its meant to be. She wanted us to get a house so badly so she could be a great grandma
I can't believe its actually working out!! !

Heather that is great. Congrats! Things do work out in these ways sometimes. It always makes me feel better about the situation. I'm sorry about your grandma though.

its a bad idea to base it on me but I had an accepted offer Spet 29, home inspection middle of oct (this should happen a few days after your accpeted offer but the people we are buying from kept canceling), we signed contracts in nov (which usually happens a few days after your home inspection) but they never signed them back and said they were still selling but they were waiting to sign. mid december we asked for our down payment back because they hadn't signed them yet (they were waiting for a co to come through) got a call december 26 that it came in, they were issuing new contracts. we signed first week of january and so did they. started with a bank that was terrible, canceled, started with a new bank last week, and they are so much better, quicker and cheaper. Got a call today that they scheduled the closing 
I'm pretty sure it goes much quicker and smoother then my process. It will take 5 and half months if we close when scheduled.
