Please explain what a strong ovulation is?
I keep trying to explain to everyone that I think I've been having "weak" ovulation, but nobody seems to understand what I'm talking about? Not even the nurse!
I truly feel that maybe I've been having weak one's as to compared to me having really strong one's. It is hard to explain, but in my head, it makes sense! . There have been months where it just feels (physically) so strong, temps are good, symptoms, etc., and then the past few months I just have a feeling my ovulations have been very weak. Does anyone know what I mean? I really can't explain it. My temps haven't been as high, not really feeling when I O compared to as when I always used to, etc. Maybe I'm losing it!

Re: Please explain what a strong ovulation is?
Last night I was having a conversation with a friend who got pregnant after over a year of trying. I've only been trying for 3 months now so I'm not at this point, but we ended up talking about Clomid. I asked her if it was used to just to help people ovulate when they don't on their own. She said no, it can also be used to make "more productive" ovulations. For example, bigger, more mature follicles, etc. Perhaps that is what you mean? If so, I definitely understand!

Re: Please explain what a strong ovulation is?
I don't know why it's so hard to explain???
The way I think of it is this...
The past few months it feels like my eggs are just hanging around, I'm waiting to O, some symptoms come, get + OPK for only 1 day, when it's O time the egg just slides down/out, very relaxed, hangs around for a little while and just disappears. Temps aren't particularly high like normal, etc.
I used to feel like this around O time...
Ovulation is coming on strong, pain is strong, symptoms are strong, 2 days of + OPK's, I used to actually feel the egg being released, getting very excited, egg bursts out of it's home hoping to meet the sperm, etc. Temps are nice and high, etc.
I just have a feeling that something is different. I just know that I'm not having "strong" ovulations lately. I think the eggs have changed or something. It's weird, but I just have this feeling?
Is this a better explanation? It's truly the difference I'm experiencing. It may be nothing, but I'm not too sure of it.
Maybe it is because I've been having smaller follicles and not the big excited one's?

Re: Please explain what a strong ovulation is?
I know exactly what you're saying b/c I wonder the same thing. I have an LPD, but dr thinks the issue is in the first part of the cycle. He is suggesting low-dose clomid to strengthen my egg, which should later produce more progesterone.
Even though CD20 ovulation isn't technically "delayed," I just have this feeling that the month I ovulate a little earlier will be the month I have a longer LP. I feel like it has something to do with my egg quality (even though FSH and estrogen levels, etc are normal).
