Ovulation Question
So I'm still feeling confused about ovulating. FF just put in the cross hairs today as having ovulated on day 16 (last month was the same day) and I def. have had a significant temp. rise both months that I have been temping. But both months I also used OPK's and got all negatives. Last month, I used the one with the two lines and this month I used the clearblue digital sticks. So what do you all think- Am I ovulating or not? If I'm seeing a temp rise, getting my period regularly every month but am not ever getting a positive OPK - what does that mean???? agghhh - so confused!

Re: Ovulation Question
You can get a period every month and not be ovulating. If you're unsure I would see an RE just to have your hormone levels checked out and have some monitoring done to make sure you are in fact ovulating every cycle because if you're not you are not really going to be able to get pregnant.

Re: Ovulation Question
if you have a confirmed and sustained temp rise along with consistent cycle lengths, chances are really good that you are Oing.
OPKs are not 100% reliable and they dont work for everyone. if you are temping, have a consistent cycle length, and see a sustained temp rise around the same time each cycle, i would completely toss out the OPKs. dont waste your money or stress over them.
a sustained thermal shift is the only way to confirm O outside of a doctor visit and bloodwork. so if you see the shift consistently i wouldnt worry too much about the OPKs.

What she said.
OPKs don't work for everyone. LH surges can be pretty short, sometimes only a few hours. If you're temping at the same time every morning, I'd trust those over an OPK any day.
