Opinions Please

What do you think of this area rug? It's going to go in my living room which has a light oak engineered wood floor. I have an open floor plan and my kitchen is yellow with green and red accents and I'm looking to carry those colors into the LR.

The only thing I'm worried about is it meshing with my entertainment center since it's black. The TV is now on the walls under the windows with the entertainment center underneath.

Yay or Nay? I can't decide. TIA

While I do think it will go I would stick to something with a beige background with green accents. The room is so light and airy I would try to keep that theme Chat Icon

Thanks!! They are metal. We got them from Pier one and the fit perfectly in the windows!

Here's a not so good pic of my kitchen (eat in area only is all I have here) I was thinking about getting red panels for that window. The verticals are coming down too eventually.

I'm not sure about the first. I think it will work. It is my fav out of the two. Sometimes with rugs you have to try them out in the room. Says the lady that is on a first name basis with the returns department at Home Depot.

The second I think with the colors you have it will be too blahh. I think the main color is too close to the sofa and wood floor color. I would try to find something that has color like he first pic you posted.

Re: Opinions Please

If you are thinking of going with the red panels, Id go with the rug or something similar to the more neutral one that was posted.

Re: Opinions Please

Thanks for all of your help. I was trying to stay away from the neutrals b.c I'm afraid it just might blend into the floor. KWIM? I don't have to put up red panels. I'm also considering beige. Sorry to be such a pain in the a**!!

I agree. If you go with the red panels, I like #1 but I think #2 would look good too.

Re: Opinions Please

I really like the red rug you post that you said you really liked and the red one that eddiesmommy post. Nice pop of color but not in your face. Then go more neutral with the curtains. Maybe a red vase somewhere or a red pillow or throw to bring the room together.

When you are trying to mesh rooms together you want to pick colors from the other rooms and put one of that color in the other rooms to make it all work together. I hope that make sense. GL
