Wishing Well Ideas

Besides doing a book wishing well (my SIL gave me a huge library of childrens books from my nieces and nephews already), what other 'themes' are out there? I'm at a loss

TIA

Re: Wishing Well Ideas

I personally like the traditional theme of little things like wipes, paci's, burp clothes, socks. I think it is cute and at least gives you some variety of things to use as a trial to see if DC can use certain things.

Re: Wishing Well Ideas

My sister did a diaper wishing well for me. It was great! Seriously, I didn't have to buy diapers until my son was at least 6 months old!

Re: Wishing Well Ideas

i don't think i'd want a diaper or wipe wishing well b/c it can really depend on the baby. traditional stuff is fine, or small clothing (socks, onesie, etc.). you could also do one of all bath items (soaps, toys, washcloths, etc.) or mealtime (spoons, forks, cups, placemats, bowls, etc.).

Re: Wishing Well Ideas

We did did the book thing, but the other one we were going to do in the onesie clothesline thing. Where everyone gets you a onesie and you hang them up on the clothes line. Then you all get to decorate one and make it special for your little one.

Re: Wishing Well Ideas

I went to one once where people were "assigned" a different topic, and then you dropped it in the appropriate basket. There were four different baskets. I think mine was "bath time". If you like this idea, other baskets could be "feeding time" (people can be creative and get you bottles, bibs, little bowls, etc), "play time" and maybe sleep time or diaper time. I thought this was cute bc she didn't get too much of the same thing. You'd have to divide your invite list though to assign things. Maybe too much?

BTW you could do this if you were throwing a bridal shower as well Chat Icon (kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, home...)
