Vote for the rug you think will look best!
(ETA: I hit the reply button accidently and didn't get a chance to post a poll  , so if you don't mind, just reply with what rug you think would be best. Thanks!)
I'm torn between these two rugs and I need to order before tomorrow evening.
This is what my heart wants:
rug A
This is what my head (and husband) is telling me to go with:
rug B
I need to order 2 rugs for our hallway. One will go in the foyer and the other by the bedrooms. Obviously there is heavy foot traffic in both areas especially with 2 children (3rd on the way) and 2 dogs, hence why my head says to go with the overall darker rug.
These are the other details:
paint is Benjamin Moore's Alexandria Beige
(example of the paint color from someone else's home)
Floors are a dark walnut like the image above.
and this is the lighting:
I have a feeling I'm still going to go with my heart  , but I'm curious as to what you guys would vote for.

I'm going with your heart too .
I think the red is going to give it a nice pop of color. I also think that overall the second rug is lighter.
You can always get the area rugs cleaned every 6 months or once year.

I'm glad you went with your heart because A clearly is more your style (I've seen enough of your pics to know this  ) and B just looks like an imitation of A. Plus I like A way better with that lighting fixture.
Always follow your heart and not your husband when it comes to spending money! Words I live by.

The light is from LampsPlus.com (it's manufactured by Quoizel). Unfortunately it's backordered (everywhere) until February.

ETA: the reason for my urgency is that CSNRugs.com is offering 25% off and today is the last day!!!! If any of you need rugs...check them out! (I've used them before and was very happy with their service!)

I have been going back and forth trying to find a rug for DS's big boy room for months now (well, with my schedule it was probably a collective day or so ) and picky-wicky me finally found one on that site
Oh, and then I found a piece of art for his room and finally ordered the window treatments.

Looks like I'm back to the drawing board. My rugs arrived and I don't like them.  I know it's hard to get color across the internet, but I just expected the rug to be more on the orange side as opposed to maroon.
Plus I think the 4'x6' is too small for that area. Oh well! Can't win them all!
(Excuse the appearance of the hallway. We're still "under construction". )
ETA: DH and I opened up the 5'x8' to see if it would look any different:
it looked better to me, so I've decided to keep it. Just need to exchange the 4x6 for a 5x8 now.
