Re: spinoff to Busty petite girls....

It is really just trial and error. I usually have to try a lot of stuff on, but when I find something that fits it looks great. But some tops that are loose sort of fall from the chest out loose and aren't flattering at all. I always find cute stuff from Anthropologie for some reason. I also tend to shop a lot at Banana Republic and Ann Taylor for work clothes, maybe that is because the cuts seem more tailored.

Tops that are meant to be fitted but are a slightly large size is probably the look I would go for. Also, I would go with fitted but not very low cut.

you can also have things that are non-stretchy (like work blouses) & have them taken in at the tailor if there is something you really like but it is too big in the waist.

I warned you!! Chat Icon

Finding tops is PURE HELL for me

I have found my go to look to be a tight tee with a cardigan over it

Also, I have found some nice fitted stuff at, believe it or not, Kohls...the APT 9 brand is usually good and it comes in petites too

good luck!

I find that v-neck is the best cut. Crew neck makes you look even bustier.

I see you're enjoying the new additions. Chat Icon Have fun! I bet they look fantastic!

oops I forgot to add whereI usually buy tops..

I usually have to try things on bc each designer's size runs so differently..

Cache for example.. I have to buy a larger size than I would normally bc their clothes in general run quite small. GL

Re: spinoff to Busty petite girls....

I love them...I am just having a tough time finding going out tops

I agree- v-necks over crew for sure

I am fine with work clothes...all my stuff still fits but I want cute weekend stuff to show them off in a classy way- I am sure the summer will be easier - so the time of year (and trying not to spend too much) isn't helping

I need to get a few go to pieces and once I don't have to wear the post-surgical bra will help too

Thanks everyone!

Re: spinoff to Busty petite girls....

For me.. anything that buttons and doesn't have stretch in the chest is a problem...there is always pulling across my chest without fail. If I buy a big enough size so it doesn't pull, it's big and looks ridiculous around my middle.

I find tops with stretch to be best. It allows for a more form fitting look without that pulling look across my chest.

Crew necks aren't as cute as a scoop or V.

Also, the bra I have on plays a HUGE part. I see you mention you're still wearing your post-op bra.. that might be why you are having a problem.

I don't stick to one specific store or brand. I just got 2 really cute going out tops at National Jean Company in Rockville Centre. Just try EVERYTHING on.. you'll get used to it!!

Re: spinoff to Busty petite girls....

i like ann taylor and ann taylor loft.
i used to love the gap too, but their stuff lately has been thin and clingy and stretchy and made for women w/ no boobs.
i also like marshalls.

like the AP said, try on everything in lots of stores and you'll find something!
also, fit your widest part and if the shirt is too big elsewhere, bring it to a tailor to bring it in (i learned this on what not to wear).

and get a good bra!
