Did everyone have this when closing???
In the last 2 days, they have changed our closing date FOUR times!!!
they just called again and changed it to Monday; it was supposed to be this friday
ugh

it is just so annoying
i keep telling my secretary at work and then changing it, making babysitting arrangements and changing the moving day with the moving company
hopefully this is it LOL

Mine changed way more than that! But our situation was unique. It was set for 11/20/08, but then the seller died on 11/13/08...
So they had to deal with the estate and all that goes along with it.
Then they told us "before Christmas" then it was "before the New Year" then "mid-January" then "before you go away in February" then "as soon as you get back from your trip" then "next week" and then the last week in February we found out on Wednesday that they wanted to close on Friday.
Then on Thursday they said it wasn't going to happen (because of the seller's attorney double booking). Then Friday morning the bank said oh yes it is! But then they couldn't find the seller's attorney.
Then we FINALLY went to closing on Monday, 3/2/09 - in the middle of a snow storm and even though we couldn't get in touch with the seller's attorney until he finally called ours at the very time we were supposed to be closing - but then the bank screwed up the wire transfer...
So we went back on Tuesday 3/3/09 and had to do all new paperwork but FINALLY closed and got the keys.
Moral of the story - it could be worse! And it will ALL be worth it when you finally get your house! Good luck!

yep this happened to us and made me go CRAZY and it caused a lot of havoc at our jobs.

Not four times, but two. Then when we finally did close the taxes were off and we had to pay another $4000 at the closing table. It was a nightmare! We had to find a Capital One to take out the money or the closing would not go through.

Our closing date was not set in stone until 2pm the day before we closed!  It caused such issues at my job because we were in the middle of an audit and my boss kept demanding to know when the closing date was. Definitely the most frustrating part about buying the apt!
