BF moms- why do we have to wear a bra to bed?
i have a VERY large chest and i just want some relief from being in a bra 24hrs a day. I just dont want to wear it tonite.
Why do they say to wear a bra to bed? Do you?

I mostly wear it b/c I leak a lot so I need something to try and keep the breast pads on with. Otherwise, I'm not really sure I would.

I had to because I leaked everywhere and I had to line it with pads. I wore a very loose sports bra-like one though and it was comfy and not restricting.

I leaked if I didn't wear a bra...I just found it kind of gross to wake up with a wet shirt on. I can't wait to be able to go to bed braless though.

1/ I leaked too much all day long. I had to wear a bra for the pads
2/ It actually was painful not to wear a bra while I slept. Keeping my boobies "close together" was more comfortable

We d you have to wear a bra to bed? I wear my comfy Old navy nursing tanks to bed w/ the pads in those! Super comfy!! No way in hell I'd be able to wear a bra to bed!!

I wear a sleep bra to bed because if I didn't have something to hold the nursing pads in place, there would be a situation! It's a gross feeling to wake up in a puddle of BM

I've heard it's to keep them supported at all times to prevent any umm... changes. I had to wear one for almost a year after DD for nursing pads, but I don't have as much leakage this time & I never wear a bra to bed. I haven't noticed any differences because of that.

Same for me with the leaking and to keep the pads on but I take off my bra from the day and wear either a Target nursing tank, this spanx like tank from Target or this soft not tight cottony criss cross sleep bra from BRU maternity section.
There were nights where I just could not deal with the confinement and dealt with the leaking and waking up wet. Sometimes I wore a shirt, sometimes not. It feels good to just let them go sometimes.
One night, I was "having a dream" that I was laying under a faucet and felt a drip, drip, drip on my side. Only to wake up and my one boob was drip, drip, dripping like a faucet down my side!

Same here. Actually, since BF, I find that I am not comfortable going braless to bed anymore. My breasts are definitely different since nursing, and I STILL wear a sleep bra to bed.

I also have a very large chest. I never wear a bra to bed, if anything a tank top with breast pads. I have heard good things about lilypadz to wear at night so you don't leak all over the place

Same here. Now that she only nurses once a night it's even more necessary because the leakage is more.

ITA.....without a bra and the pads I would have woken up in a puddle! I no longer need to wear a bra, but for a very long time I wore one basically 24hrs a day
